Our Story

Our Name
Nestled in Yorkshire, where ancient Viking words still shape our language, a small stream – or as we northerners call it, a 'beck' – winds through a grove of willows. This landscape inspired the name Beck & Willow, which serendipitously shares the initials of our founder. It's a name that represents our commitment to heritage craftsmanship and the stories our leather goods will carry through time.
MATERIALS
Exceptional craftsmanship begins with selecting the finest materials. We primarily work with full-grain leather from Charles F. Stead of Leeds, a prestigious tannery renowned for their quality and commitment to responsible practices. We began using their leathers through our collaboration with British shoe brand LANX, and has since become fundamental to our creation process.

CRAFTSMANSHIP
Every piece we create is entirely handmade, with particular attention paid to our signature saddle stitching technique. This traditional method creates a remarkably strong seam that, unlike machine stitching, won't unravel even if a stitch breaks. It's just one example of how we prioritize durability in every detail.
Consorzio Vera Pelle Italiana
We also source select leathers from prestigious Italian tanneries Walpier and Badalassi Carlo, both members of the Consorzio Vera Pelle Italiana - a consortium dedicated to preserving traditional Italian leather-making excellence and ethical practices.

our story. our style.
Our mission extends beyond creating exceptional leather goods - it's about proving that traditional English craftsmanship isn't just alive, but thriving. In an age of mass production and disposable goods, we stand for something different: the principle of buying once, buying well. Every stitch we make and every piece we create carries the pride of generations of English artisans who came before us. When you choose Beck & Willow, you're not just buying a product - you're becoming part of a legacy of quality that will grow and evolve with you. Your story. Your style.
